Herbalism and Food as Medicine

Herbalism, also known as herbal medicine or phytotherapy, is a practice that involves using plants and plant extracts for therapeutic purposes. This ancient healing tradition can be traced back to various cultures, including Indian Ayurveda, indigenous cultures of Mexico, African,  Caribbean, Latin America, American Indian practices, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Herbal remedies come in various forms such as teas, tinctures, capsules, salves, and can include edible plants, fruits, and vegetables.

At White Lotus Spiritual Healing, our herbalism service begins with an initial consultation where Veronica will sit down with you one-on-one to discuss your health history, current concerns, and wellness goals. This comprehensive consultation also covers your diet, physical, emotional, and energetic characteristics to tailor herbal and/or food recommendations specifically for you and your intentions. Within one day of your consultation, you will receive an email containing herbal recommendations, food list and/or recipes and full instructions. If you choose, you may also purchase custom herbal formula(s) from White Lotus Spiritual Healing.

Follow-up appointments are an essential part of our herbalism service. During these sessions, Veronica will discuss your experience with the recommendations and may modify your formulas, dosage, or food plan based on your progress. It is recommended that clients follow up at least once within a month of their initial appointment. Depending on the nature of the imbalance and how chronic the pattern is, most clients will need to stay on an herbal formula for 3-6 months. This time and patience are crucial as we aim to help your body heal naturally and thrive beyond the herbal remedies.

If you’re looking for a holistic way to address health issues and improve your overall wellness, herbalism may be the answer.
